要朝拜那安排一切的上智天主。世人很多次抱怨天主上智的安排；因為我們可憐的人類不懂。天主卻以無窮的上智，安排一切的事。
我們往往不大注意天主的光榮，只願求主寬恕，求賜恩寵，卻不很感到朝拜、感謝、愛慕天主的需要。這是由於我們軟弱的緣故。我們在聖詠篇裡所有的，也習慣歌唱的一百五十首聖詠，完全都是為讚美、感謝天主的，並向祂表示我們的愛情。
要同化於耶穌基督！有什麼用意呢？有很多人向上主提出許多的要求；可是，就是連我們的祈禱，也應該符合「天主在天受光榮，主愛的人在世享平安」這篇讚主頌。這篇經文的第一部分，是為光榮和感謝天主的；第二部分則為補過和求恩。……
要很重視祈禱的四個部分，即朝拜、感謝、補過或贖罪和求恩。……
天堂是我們的福地，在於光榮天主。天主造我們，是為了這個目的，即光榮祂。我們光榮祂，就能幸福。要提高祈禱的精神。要常光榮天主。所以，「天主在天受光榮」，這遍我們在彌撒聖祭中也常念的經文，包括祈禱的首先兩個部分：光榮天主，因為祂是無窮偉大的，全能全知的；因為祂有其他一總的屬性；同時我們也表示對祂的感謝；因為一切都是祂的，我們所有的一切，都由祂而來。此外還有其他兩個部分，即補過或贖罪，以及求恩。
感謝。我們更習慣求恩，而不習慣為了已經獲得的恩賜，表示感謝。我們總不會充分地感謝的。假如我們實在知道領聖體表示什麼！……聖經是什麼恩賜！……聖召有什麼益處！……做天主教會的份子，做教會的兒女，有多大的好處！我們就會有這麼多的理由，在我們心中，激發感恩之情。……
感謝是一項義務。它也是一種祈禱的方法。
