他在我們面前，顯得是一位嚴謹修德的人。他有屹立不動的信德，堅定不移的望德，熱烈如焚的愛德，非常崇高的祈禱精神，且受有天主所賜的高超靜觀的特恩。這是一個多麼可奇的模範。
為使我們重度聖保祿那樣的生活，讓我們在他眼前，立定三個善志：
（一）認真學習。
（二）熱心從事使徒工作。希望以言論和著作，從事使徒工作的宗徒人數增多。
（三）加強祈禱精神。聖保祿首先是一個祈禱的人：「他正在祈禱。」（宗九11）然後他才是一位使徒。首先他是一個「盟選的器皿」，然後才是「外邦人的導師」。
聖保祿，願你在我們內生活。你以你的學識、你的精神、你的神火、你的熱情、你的聖德，在我們內生活吧！我們今天那些熱誠的使徒們，求你生活在他們內，光照我們，當他們在奮鬥時支持你們。那些願意與天主更密切結合的人，求你生活在他們內，把你高超的靜觀賜給他們！求你生活在他們內，如同以前你曾生活在馬爾谷、弟鐸、弟茂德、路加、戴格拉內那樣。
