保祿大家庭的會祖真福雅各‧雅培理（Giacomo Alberione）神父，1884年出生於義大利北部的Piemonte省，小學三年級初次表達想當神父的志向。在1900年末的跨年夜，年僅16歲的雅培理修士在4小時的朝拜聖體中，得到特殊的光照，一股特殊的光從聖體龕射發出來並說：「你們都到我跟前來。」雅培理修士體認到：要成為現代的使徒，要以最新的傳播媒體來傳揚耶穌帶給們的喜訊。這是重要的一個記號，可說是保祿大家庭神恩的起源。

五個修會：
聖保祿會(1914)：以大眾傳播媒體宣傳福音的男修會
聖保祿孝女會(1915)：以大眾傳播媒體宣傳福音的女修會
主徒修女會(1924)：以禮儀服務教會
耶穌善牧修女會(1938)：堂區服務
諸宗徒之后修女會(1959)：幫助年輕人分辨聖召、推廣聖召
四個奉獻團體：
耶穌司鐸會：願意分享雅培理神父的神恩與使命的教區主教、神父、修士
聖佳播天使會：男在俗奉獻團體
聖母領報會：女在俗奉獻團體
聖家會：全家一起分享雅培理神父的神恩與使命
一個教友組織：
保祿會贊助員團體：願意分享保祿會神恩與福傳使命的平信徒。
依會祖雅培理神父的願望，歸屬於聖保祿大家庭，這是以上各會在神恩中不可缺少的一環。
1971年11月26日病逝於羅馬
2003年4月27日被教會列為真福（他在世的生活可作基督信徒的榜樣，在教會內可接受公開的敬禮，並可向他祈求幫助。）
雅培理神父的奇蹟：
為了他的列真福案件，負責調查的教廷宣聖委員會調查墨西哥一位屬聖保祿家庭「聖母領報會」的在俗奉獻女士Maria Librada Gonzalez Rodriguez的痊癒奇蹟。
該名婦女於1931年9月7日出生，1989年4月4日她不慎跌倒，右腳受傷，必須打上石膏，因此無法走路。4月29日她開始覺得呼吸困難，因為她有胸栓塞的毛病，因此住院了十二天。出院兩天後，又因心室纖維性顫動，呼吸困難而再度住院。不料，5月19日復因腦血管栓塞而致半身不遂，出現臉和半身麻痺及失語症。5月20日她進入另一危險期，此次比之前更為嚴重，呼吸困難持續了半小時，且背部疼痛加劇，她知道她已瀕臨死亡，於是轉向雅培理神父求助。馬上，她重獲力量能自行呼吸，無須依靠機器，5月25日她離開了加護病房。
她的痊癒令眾人稱奇，因此於1994年教區調查之後，遂將此奇蹟送到羅馬宣聖委員會。該委員會於1995年11月10日以諭令承認之。2002年2月14日委員會請醫生們會診，醫生們也承認這個痊癒極為迅速、完整和持久，並且無法以今日的科學知識解釋。2002年12月20日教宗核准雅培理神父被列為真福，在2003年復活節後，4月27日將他列入【殉道、聖人錄】裡。

少年時的雅培理——
雅培理進入修院時，他的父親駕著一輛牛車送他到修院去。抵達修院時，他的一位未來的同伴取笑他說：「看他跟牛一起來讀書呢？」他回答說：「牠不會吃掉我的書本吧？」那地方的俗語「給牛吃掉了書本」意思是目不識丁，毫無長進的意思。
雅培理力求上進，他手不釋卷，力尋真理。實現了他的夢想，當了神父，也完成了天主託付給他的使命。
