一九三七年在薩丁尼亞的福傳過程中，在奧尼菲利鄉附近的森林裡我們迷路了。走了很長的一段路後，我們到了森林的另一頭，離目的地越來越遠，森林已開始有霧。我們到了急流旁，不知如何找到安全的路。於是放下行李和包裏，開始祈求護守天使。
不一刻，我們聽到重重的腳步聲走近我們。我們一面高興，一面駭怕。會是誰呢? 是兩個背著步鎗，腰中掛著手鎗的人。我們以為他們是獵人，像在我們家鄉一樣，我們問他們：
「二位在狩獵？」
「對，在狩獵。妳們在這裡幹什麼？」
我們回答說我們走失了，我們要去奧尼菲利。
他們不在乎地說：「假如有人要害妳們，怎麼辦？」
我不懂他們所說的害是什麼，天真地說：「我們會說請他幫忙背包裏，帶我們上路，在天黑之前到奧尼菲利。」
他們笑笑，拿起行李陪我們到十字路口。我們還有很長的路，到本堂時已很晚。
我們敘述了如何迷路，如何遇到二個好心的獵人幫助我們。本堂於是拿出一張相片給我們看。我們認出了那兩位恩人：他們是兩個有名的藏匿的匪徒，正被懸賞要捉拿的人。我們心中為他們祈求，希望他們對所有的人行善，就像對我們行善一樣。
