Everything: time, money, life, blood, where necessary. He doesn’t count his hours; he is not impatient to dismiss those who turn to him; he gives himself for the time required (BM, p. 101).

保祿會使徒的第一個條件是穿上新人——依天主的計畫，該是按照正義、聖善的真理而被創造的；這意味著愛護真理，領受恩典，對天主和社會持守正義。 The first condition for the Pauline apostolate is to put on the new man, who, according to God, was created in justice and holiness of truth; which means to feel the love of truth, to possess the grace of the Lord, to observe justice towards God and towards men (UPS IV, 116).

有時，成果會被嫉妒所毁。「合而為一！」願我們活出愛德！愛德可以消除很多東西，並把我們連結在一起。每人為修會帶來美善：帶來她的活動力、她的天賦；但也帶來她的毛病。 Sometimes the works are destroyed by envy, by jealousy: «Ut unum sint!». Let there be charity! Certainly charity eliminates many things and putting us together, each brings good to the community, brings his activity, his gifts, but he also carries his defects (FSP-SdC, p. 87).

不必認為「理智刻意而行」就一定要做刻苦，或往信德的方向去想。盡力做好自己的工作，就是花心思來侍奉天主。 We must not think that saying «with the mind» one must have always ascetic thoughts or thoughts of faith. To apply the mind to do one’s job well, this is God’s service with the mind (FSP-SdC, pp. 280-281).

去理解對方，是步上共同生活的第一步，這種「同居共處」比友善對待更加深刻，是一種獨特的親屬關係，因為是思想、精神和願望的交流。 Knowing how to understand oneself: this is the first step towards a coexistence which, more than that of a good neighbourhood, is a unique relationship, since it is a communion of thought, spirit, aspiration (ACV, p. 152).
